How the service works
You choose a file and the people who receive its link. Anyone who obtains the link can access the file within the service limits.
Pigeon imposes no product file-size or total-selection quota. Infrastructure, device, browser, network, and storage protocol limits still apply.
Each transfer expires seven days after its creation, including upload time. It stops granting new access after twenty visitor access windows.
Previews and downloads share the same access window, lasting up to five minutes. An active window never extends beyond the file deadline.
Keep your own copy. Pigeon is not a backup service or a permanent archive. A report, legal order, or security issue can stop access earlier.
Your files and responsibilities
You retain your rights in your material. You must have the rights and lawful grounds needed to upload it and share it with your recipients.
By requesting a transfer, you authorize WMIE and necessary providers to store, copy, deliver, preview, and delete the material for the service.
This authorization also covers proportionate action necessary to investigate misuse, comply with law, and protect people.
Do not use Pigeon to bypass confidentiality duties or restrictions on personal data. An organizational processing agreement must be arranged before use when required.
Prohibited use
Do not use Pigeon for unlawful content, infringement of privacy or intellectual property, fraud, phishing, malware distribution, harmful code, or unlawful terrorist content.
Do not upload child sexual abuse or exploitation material, non-consensual intimate material, threats, or material that unlawfully exposes another person.
Do not attack the service, bypass access controls, evade expiry or request limits, or interfere with other users.
File safety and confidentiality
Pigeon does not perform antivirus scanning. Basic file-type and header checks do not establish that the contents are safe.
Take appropriate precautions before opening received files. Do not assume that a file is harmless because Pigeon accepted it.
Files are not end-to-end encrypted. Choose a service with suitable guarantees for highly confidential or regulated information.
